Growth Reports
Growth reports track how the church is expanding — new members joining, members returning after inactivity, and the overall trajectory of the congregation over time.
Accessing growth data
Go to Reports and click the Growth tab in the top-right.
Summary stats
| Stat | Description |
|---|---|
| New Members | Members added in the selected period |
| Month-on-month change | e.g. "+24 last mo" — how this period compares to the previous one |
| Growth Months | Consecutive months of positive member growth |
Membership growth chart
The Dashboard's Mission Control panel includes a Membership Growth chart showing the last 6 months of member count. Each point represents the total active member count at the end of that month.
Use the Reports page Growth tab for a more detailed view with date range controls.
What counts as growth
A member is counted as new when their account is approved — not when they register. This prevents pending accounts from inflating growth numbers.
Returners (members who were inactive and re-engaged) are tracked separately from new members so you can distinguish genuine growth from reactivation.
Congregation breakdown
The Dashboard shows the total congregation broken down into:
| Category | Description |
|---|---|
| Members | Fully approved and active |
| Returners | Previously inactive, now re-engaged |
| Visitors | First-time or occasional attendees not yet on the member register |
| Children | Youth members tracked separately |
Branch-level vs church-wide
- Admins see growth across all branches, with a branch comparison chart
- Pastors see growth for their branch only
- Leaders see growth for their department or fellowship only
- Members do not have access to Reports
Using growth reports effectively
- A flat or declining member count with high attendance means visitors aren't converting — check the Souls Pipeline and New Believers pipeline
- A growing member count with declining attendance means new members aren't being retained — check fellowship membership and follow-up rates
- Cross-reference growth with the Engagement metrics to get a complete picture
